Perhaps you notice that your teen struggles with meeting new people or forming new friendships.
Maybe they get some social anxiety and are unable to relax in social situations, or they are neurodivergent (e.g., Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Complex PTSD, etc.).
Sometimes they just don’t know what to say in group settings, and they feel lonely or isolated as a result.
While individual therapy for your teen is beneficial, our PEERs Social Skills Training Groups is designed to help teens gain skills in handling social situations.
PEERS Groups are small social skills groups of teens between the ages of 14-17 who meet weekly at our convenient office location in Charlotte.
Through games, role playing, and guided conversation, your teenager will strengthen their social skills in a safe, warm, and inclusive environment.
Parents gather each week as a group with the PEERS facilitators for coaching and a supportive conversation to learn strategies to support their child throughout the process.
Groups run several times a year, and spots do fill up quickly. Contact us today to inquire about upcoming sessions and to join the waitlist!

PEERs is an evidence-based social skills group for teens, young adults, and neurodivergent individuals. Unlike traditional social skills groups, parents and caregivers are included throughout the program. Teenagers will strengthen their social skills in a safe and nonjudgmental environment, and parents will learn strategies to support their teens through the process.
