Hello, I’m Eileen!

One of my favorite therapy-related images is of a client and a therapist in session with speech bubbles above them. In the client’s speech bubble, you see a tangled ball of different colored thread. In the therapist’s speech bubble, the thread stretches across, gradually becoming untangled and neatly separated by color.

Two speech bubbles describing therapy. One bubble has scattered thoughts, the other is organizing those thoughts.

People start therapy with me for a variety of reasons and, whether you’re here to talk about anxiety, burnout, relationship struggles, difficulty setting boundaries, or questions about your identity, we will likely start with your tangled ball of thoughts, feelings, and history. Together, we will parse through the yarn to see if we can find patterns, meaning, and, my personal favorite: space for self-compassion.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental space for teenagers, college students, and young adults to explore the ins and outs of being human, especially for those who may be unable to, or struggle to, express their true selves.

This is one of the many reasons I am passionate about providing affirming and empowering care to the LGBTQIA+ community. I aim to provide an informed and understanding approach to the unique social and emotional challenges many clients face due to discrimination, stigma, and societal pressure. In my sessions, clients can freely explore gender and sexual identity without fear of judgment or rejection.

I welcome you to schedule a session if you’re ready to start detangling.
